Fintech.careers ("we", "our") operates the fintech.careers platform. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over your data.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, role (candidate / employer).
- Profile data: CV, work history, preferences, salary expectations.
- Usage data: pages visited, jobs viewed, search filters used.
- Application data: cover notes and answers to screening questions submitted via the platform.
2. How we use it
We use the data above to (a) operate the platform, (b) match candidates and employers, (c) prevent abuse, (d) measure aggregate trends, and (e) send notifications you've opted into.
3. Who sees your profile
Your profile is private by default. Employers only see your full information when you apply to their role, or when you explicitly mark your profile as searchable. You can change this at any time.
4. Cookies
We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We use privacy-friendly analytics (no third-party tracking pixels).
5. Sharing
We share data with infrastructure subprocessors (hosting, email, error monitoring) under data-processing agreements. We never sell your data.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your data. To exercise any of these, email privacy@fintech.careers.
7. Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, identifying data is removed within 30 days; anonymized usage metrics may be retained for aggregate reporting.
